I am a mom.  I like to look for our Halloween costumes early.  Last year was the first year I dressed up since childhood.  This year, I wanted something timeless.  I choose a Salon Girl costume.

I immediately turned to my friends at The Plus Size Costume Center.  I found my costume there.  It was less than $35.  It came with a top, a skirt, a corset and a hair piece.  I didn’t have to wear anything underneath, the fabric wasn’t sheer.  I am not a plus size model or anything, but I think I wear the costume well.  I can just envision myself at our grown up Halloween party carrying around a tray of drinks.  It makes me thing of the old time black and white photos you can have taken at the beach.  I think boyfriend was make a handsome cowboy counterpart to my Saloon Girl.  It also could be cute for the Gold Rush premiere party I want to have.  I think I might have to wear a cute curly blonde wig and draw a fake beauty mark on as well.  One addition I would make to the outfit would be a garter with a fake pistol.  What wild wild west diva doesn’t have one of those?
