It happens.  You are on vacation with the kids.  It’s hot.  Too hot.  The sand is so hot your feet blister while lugging the beach cart with the chairs, the umbrella, the cooler and the 346 kids sand toys.   The pool water is warm like an uncomfortable bath tub.  And salty.  And sandy.  They want to do something else but what?

A free zoo!  My kids love zoos and when boyfriend saw the commercial showing all the shaded paths we were a go.  Our first stop, one of mommy’s favorite animals.

The kids were so excited, they pulled out their own maps and started leading us around.

Our next stop was Kevin’s favorite Bald Eagles.  There were 2 in the cage, because they mate for life.  I think that is so sweet.

We saw wolves, bison, macaws, peacocks, birds, ducks, snakes, tried to see the panther, a bear, it was lots of fun.

I recommend bringing sunscreen and water  We had our cooler in the car.
