I have seen pins all over Pinterest for cupcakes made with diet soda. I gave up diet soda but we had some diet mountain dew in the house and a box of strawberry cake mix. Figuring I don’t like strawberry or mountain dew, I wanted to try the recipe, taste it and not feel bad if I didn’t like it.
Unfortunately, I did like it. The recipe was simple, 12 oz of diet soda and 1 box of cake mix mixed together. The cupcakes turned out nice and fluffy. The kids loved them too.
Since the new year, and my healthy habits for life plan, I have not had fast food. The kids begged me for Chik fila today and it smelt wonderful. I saw the new menu offering and had to get it.
Chicken Tortilla Soup with yummy crunchys!!!
Pintrest is addicting. I hate looking at yummy treats while trying to be healthy. When I saw this I almost died. I am allergic to splenda so I made a substitution. Orignal post.
- 1 1/2 cups chickpeas (1 can, drained) (250g)
- 1/8 tsp plus 1/16 tsp salt
- tiny bit over 1/8 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips
- 2 to 3 T oats
Directions: Add all ingredients (except for chocolate chips) to a food processor, and blend until very smooth. Then mix in the chocolate chips.
*I tried using a hand blender and it sucked. Still turned out good but lumpy. The original blogger served them with graham crackers so that’s what I got too.
